Eric Myers For Haysville City Council Ward 1

My name is Eric Myers, and I’m running for Haysville City Council – Ward 1!
I’m a 14-year U.S. Air Force Veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and now I’m ready to serve again, this time, right here at home. Since 2019, I’ve proudly run Myers Mushrooms LLC in Haysville with my USAF Veteran wife and two children. Our company supplies and equips growers across North America with USA made products and I have been developing equipment for the industry. We are also an active mushroom farm, supplying fresh mushrooms to the local community restaurants and regularly donate to local soup kitchens and work with professors at WSU to educate future generations. I hope to bring new ideas to Haysville to revitalize and beautify our city.
I’m also a proud VFW member, Veteran Farmer Coalition member, Wichita Farms and Ranchers Club member, and hold an Associate’s Degree. I believe in building a Haysville that thrives for residents, business owners, and future generations. I am not looking for any sponsorship or asking for any donations. I am just looking for your support!
Let’s bring fresh ideas, strong leadership, and lasting impact.
I bring experience in:
- Local food systems & agriculture
- Government compliance and safety inspections
- USDA/KDA Grant writing and grant management
- Managed over $12M in government and private budgets, sourcing, and purchasing,
- Product development and local manufacturing
- Government and Private Facility Project and Program Management
Some Key points I would stand for
- No More additional taxes
- Continued investment of existing funds in parks
- More affordable single family homes
- No more!!! Build to rent developments
- New splash pad at Dorner Park
- Seek grants, state, and federal funding for improving our infrastructure
- Strengthen our farmers market with upgraded and expanded facilities via USDA/KDA grants
- Implement a plan to replace the crumbling Meridian Big Ditch Bridge
- Encourage our local stores to improve their curb appeal
- Establish a Tree planting program/plan for parks and roadways
- I will personally donate 100 black walnut, elderberry, chestnut, and willow trees to the city
Let’s revitalize Haysville together!
I’d be honored to earn your support!
